The Rundown: A young woman ends up on Hyde Street seeking revenge for a fallen friend.

Sophie and Violet have been friends since they were little girls. The two become inseparable after a tragedy nearly kills them and claims the life of Violet’s mother. After the pair graduate from high school, they attend college together and Sophie decides to pledge a sorority. As the two begin to grow apart, a pledge game takes Sophie’s life and the rest of the house scrambles to cover it up.
Furious at the loss of her friend and the lack of accountability on the part of the house, its leader and the university, Violet finds herself on Hyde Street at the shop of the mysterious fortune teller who finds a way to bind her to her friend and possibly give the duo the means to get revenge.
The Story: Zchut crafts an entertaining and interesting story in this first issue. I love a good revenge story and this story does a great job of setting up all the pieces of one with not only the inciting incident, but also by creating the connection between the characters. There is great tension and suspense throughout the story and the final moments of the story make me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Leiz deliversa fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and how beautifully detailed the pages and panels are.
